There are almost 300 farms around Ireland producing mussels, oysters, salmon, perch and even seaweed. Between them they employ almost 2000 people directly and thousands and thousands of more jobs indirectly.
Now, it's time to challenge your memory bank.
Below are 14 different scenarios which are all very important in the process of getting your farmed seafood from tide to table, right along the stages involved in farming, harvesting, processing, selling and buying seafood.
Your task is to identify and name the jobs that are required to get each of these activities done.

Who is the most important worker on the farm? This person is there everyday, takes care of the animals and manages the business.
The farmer bought a new phone with a camera. He wanted to take some photos of his happy healthy fish swimming around the sea pen. He lent over the pen and dropped his new phone in the pen. Who you gonna call to help get the phone back?

The farmers have been working hard all morning and they have worked up quite an appetite. The farmer and his workers decide to go for a quick lunch and a coffee near by, They don't have time to sit down for a bite to eat. Where do you think they will go?

After lunch, the farmer went back to the salmon farm. He remembered that tomorrow the salmon are due a health check up. Who you gonna call?

The salmon arrived safely on land. The next stop is 20 kilometres away. It's time to prepare the salmon for supermarkets, restaurants and buyers which happens in a fish factory. Who you gonna call to transport the fish?

It's time for your family's weekly shop at the supermarket, you saw an advert on the telly selling the tastiest looking starfish salmon cakes and you want to see if they are in your local supermarket. Who you gonna ask?
The shop assistant
It's your birthday, your parents have agreed to take you to your favourite fish restaurant. You are beside yourself with excitement, you have the menu in your hand, you spot your favourite dish and you must order now! Who you gonna call ?
The party host
Last but not least, your order is in but you forgot to remind them about your allergy. There is one very special person who needs to know. Who you gonna call?
It's time to head home. Everyone is stuffed to the gills. Your parents have decided to take a night off from driving. Who you gonna call?
