This opportunity for College Students and Young Adults ages 18-30 is meant to serve as a connecting point on a journey of understanding race and racism in our culture. We will share our own stories and work to support and empower each other for change.
These conversations can and will be uncomfortable. We invite you to be uncomfortable in community. We invite you to join us where ever you are with your questions, concerns, and feelings. We will strive to create a safe space, but keep in mind safe does not mean easy. We will provide ongoing resources and support as needed, and these sessions will not be the end of our conversations or our responses.
This is a 2 part series and while it is not necessary to participate in both, however, it is strongly encouraged.
Session 1: Sharing Our Stories: The history that formed us
Session 2: Where Do We Go From Here?
Foundations for these sessions will be rooted in the Baptismal Covenant from the Episcopal Church (found here
https://www.bcponline.org/ beginning on page 304-305).
Registration for this event is required. We will meet via ZOOM for both. Please include a valid email address that is checked regularly where the ZOOM link can be emailed the day of the session.
