Created by the Iowa Arts Council, the Iowa Keeps Creating: Digital Stage aims to support, amplify and celebrate Iowa musicians, live performance artists, filmmakers and creative writers by showcasing that Iowa Keeps Creating, despite, and sometimes inspired by, the challenges of the past year including the global pandemic and reinvigorated movement for civil rights.
Submissions will be accepted based on the following themes:
August: EMERGING ARTISTS (Artists 25 and under)
Musicians, filmmakers, artists or presenting organizations who are selected will receive advance promotion on the Iowa Arts Council's social media platforms and a $200 stipend for their time and effort. Artists, presenting organizations, and projects that have already been funded by an Iowa Arts Council grant July 1, 2020 - June 30, 2021 are ineligible for this marketing stipend, but are still eligible to apply to the Digital Stage.

Additional consideration will be given to artists and presenting organizations who are led by or predominantly serve populations identifying as: Black, Indigenous, or persons of color; LGBTQIA+; persons with disabilities; and/or living in or serving a rural area.
The Iowa Arts Council reserves the right to reject any and all proposals. Due to the high volume of submissions, only applicants accepted to the Digital Stage program will be contacted, however all applications will be kept on file for future consideration.
