Ferry Connection to the Miramar Peninsula

Kia ora Eastbourne community 👋🏽

We are exploring options to restore a ferry connection between the harbour and the Miramar Peninsula.

Two potential options are being discussed:

Option 1 – Seatoun service
Reinstating the previous ferry connection between Days Bay, Seatoun and Queens Wharf, with weekday morning and afternoon commuter sailings.

Option 2 – Shelly Bay service
A ferry stop at Shelly Bay, which could allow more sailings to stop, and potentially connect to Seatoun, Maupuia, Weta Cave and the Airport via shuttle.

This short survey will help measure community interest and likely patronage.

Results will be shared with East by West Ferries and relevant councils to support discussion around a potential pilot service.
