The NCAE Representative Assembly requests that NCAE Board of Directors will take the following actions: 

1. Form a committee to analyze its own contributions to climate change and propose action for our union to reduce and/or offset its own contributions to greenhouse gas emissions and habitat loss; 

2. Form a committee (possibly the same as above) to create and/or promote pre K—12 curriculum resources to teach students about the causes, effects, and justice/advocacy issues of climate change, possibly through collaboration with other aligned organizations; and 

3. Direct the legislative committee to advocate that elected officials in North Carolina take action to mitigate the causes and effects of climate change.
