Schedule a School Visit or Election Center Tour  

The Jefferson County Clerk and Recorder’s Office is excited to partner with schools this fall to support civic engagement and voter readiness.

School Visit – Our team provides a nonpartisan civic engagement 30-minute presentation, including a PowerPoint that can be shared in advance if your school is able to display it. Options include visiting multiple classrooms throughout the school day (full/half day visit), presenting in a central location (library/auditorium) with rotating classes throughout the school day, or holding a grade-level or school-wide assembly. Note: In the state of Colorado, 15 years and older can pre-register to vote!

Election Center Tour – A 60-minute behind-the-scenes visit at the Jefferson County Elections Ballot Processing Center (3500 Illinois Street, Suite 1100, Golden, CO 80401). Please arrive at least 10-minutes early for parking, sign-in, and visitor badges. Visitors will observe ballot processing, security safeguards, and the full ballot lifecycle, with time for Q&A. Schools/Organizations are responsible for arranging their own transportation to and from the facility.
