Ritz Tour Appointment

The museum's permanent collection brings Northeast Florida's African American heritage to life through an immersive exhibit on historic LaVilla. It also features a dynamic multimedia tribute to local brothers James Weldon and John Rosamond Johnson, creators of the iconic anthem Lift Ev’ry Voice and Sing.

The Museum Gallery showcases a variety of changing art and history exhibits throughout the year.

DOCENT-GUIDED TOUR GROUPS

Guided tours are led by trained docents who will provide information about the exhibits featured in the museum.

STUDENT GROUPS

We require one chaperone for every ten students (ages 4-17); Chaperones must be over 18 years old and able to manage the students in their group.

The museum can accommodate 60 guests at one time. This number includes chaperones accompanying student groups. After filling out this form, you will receive an email confirmationYOU MUST RECEIVE A WRITTEN CONFIRMATION OF YOUR DATE BY E-MAIL BEFORE YOU ARRIVE. Please notify the Ritz Theatre and Museum of any cancellations at least 48 hours (2 days) prior to the tour date. Tours may be rescheduled if space is available. PLEASE BE PUNCTUAL AS THE MUSEUM TOUR SCHEDULE IS VERY BUSY. LATE ARRIVAL MAY RESULT IN CANCELLATION. THE MUSEUM CAN NOT ACCOMMODATE GROUPS OF UNSCHEDULED VISITORS.

MUSEUM HOURS:

Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays – Closed. Thursday and Friday, 10 a.m - 4 p.m 

Tuesdays and Wednesdays 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. are available by special request.

ENTRANCE FEES:

Adult (18-64) $8.00; Students and Senior Citizens (65 and above) - $5.00: Children (3-below) Free

Payments can be made in advance or at the time of your tour via cashier’s check, money order, and credit card.
