Byrd Barr Place Food Bank Grocery Delivery Sign-up for August & September
The Byrd Barr Place Food Bank is looking for 5 volunteer riders to deliver bags of groceries to families in need in and around the Central District and Capitol Hill neighborhoods. These deliveries will take place this Friday Morning at 9:30am and will start at Byrd Barr Place located at 722 18th Ave, Seattle, WA 98122.
Each volunteer rider will need to be able to carry at least two 20 pound bags of groceries. Having a cargo bike or bike trailer is prefered, but not required. As long as you are able to safely secure the bags to your bike with minimal repacking than all types of bikes are welcome! We will also have bike trailers at the food bank for you to borrow.
Byrd Barr Place is also looking for general volunteers to help in the food bank! They need the most help on Tuesdays from 11am until 1pm, so if you are also interested in please select the Tuesday volunteer shifts below. This is a great opportunity to get a great morning bike ride in that ends with providing community support at your local food bank!

Do you need to borrow a bike trailer from us?
These bike trailers are easy to install on your bike and well will bring them to the food bank that you will be delivering groceries for.
