Thank you for your interest in the Eta Gamma Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated 2020 Scholarship. Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® is composed of predominately African American college educated women dedicated to service to the community with emphasis to nationally stated issues which affect the Black community. For over 50 years, Eta Gamma Omega has awarded over $500,000 in scholarships, and we are proud to continue our program to offer annual scholarships to high school seniors in the greater Sacramento, CA region.

The scholarship application, with all PDF attachments emailed, is due on FRIDAY, March 20, 2020 by 11:59 p.m.

APPLICATION REQUIREMENT:
*Student’s permanent home is in the Greater Sacramento Area


APPLICATION MUST INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:
Step 1: Submit the online application. (High School Senior, Undergraduate,
Undergraduate-HBCU scholarship.)
Step 2: Email the ATTACHMENTS which are to be compiled, scanned, and
emailed as ONE PDF FILE to the Scholarship Chairman at
akahgoscholarships@gmail.com by 11:59 p.m. on FRIDAY,
MARCH 20, 2020.
Step3: Write In the subject line, "NAME- AKA SCHOLARSHIP SUBMISSION"
(e.g. Sarah Jones – HS scholarship submission).

REQUIRED ATTACHMENTS:
*Recent Color Photo headshot.
*A letter written and SIGNED by the applicant stating:
-- college and career goals
-- the impact of your community service
-- your knowledge of the impact of African American influence on today’s
society, and particularly on your life.
-- your understanding of the global impact of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority,
Incorporated® on today’s America.
*Two (2) letters of recommendation, both SIGNED by the authors:
--one letter from SCHOOL personnel and
--one from an individual in the COMMUNITY
*Federal Tax Return (first 2 pages only) (2018 or 2019) from the
parent/guardian (Black out the social security numbers before sending.)
