ASB Appointed Officer Application
Gunn High School Student Government is now accepting applications for officer positions for the 2020-2021 school year. It is a privilege to become an officer in ASB. Please fill out the following application if you would like to be considered for a position in ASB.

Please read through the Appointed Officer duties ( https://www.gunnsec.org/asb-appointed-position-descriptions.html ), and fill out the application completely. Selected applicants will complete presentations and interviews with a selection committee (pending updated school closure measures). Please read the instructions regarding the interview format. If you miss your interview, you may be removed from the selection process. After all interviews, the final decisions will be made by April 24th.

APPLICATION DEADLINE: This application must be completed and submitted by Tuesday, April 14, 2020 at 11:59pm. YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO EDIT THIS FORM so make sure your form is complete before submitting.

If you have specific questions about the application you can email Mrs. Hall, Student Activities Director, at lhall@pausd.org. You will be asked to submit the email of 2 teachers to write a recommendation on your behalf. They will receive an email with the recommendation form. They will have two weeks from your deadline to complete the recommendation. Please make sure you have communicated with them that you used them as a reference.

• NOTE - Current and past Leadership Students are not guaranteed placement as a 2020-2021 Appointed Officer. Selections will be based on application, presentation and participation, interview answers, and the
interview panel’s holistic ordinal scoring for the desired appointed position.

• SEC reserves the right and will be looking for opportunities to offer an alternate position to any candidate it feels is qualified for the position, even if said candidate interviewed for a different position initially. Candidates may choose to accept or reject the alternate position if offered one by SEC.
