LEARN LEAD SERVE Inc.'s 27th Annual "Season For Nonviolence" Planning & Organizing Committee in collaboration with The New York Society For Ethical Culture would like to feature Student/Youth and/or Intergenerational/adult community presentations and performances at our March 20, 2024 event.
You, your school, your group or organization has the opportunity to be selected to present or perform at this event if you follow these guidelines:
- Presentations or Performances should be dynamic, educational, moving and/or informative.
- Presentations or Performances should generally be between 5 – 7 minutes.
- Presentations should try to focus on inspiration provided in our lives today by one or more of these historical figures, events or movements/causes/public issues: Mahatma Gandhi, Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., The Civil Rights Movement (Bayard Rustin/The March On Washington/I Have A Dream Speech, etc.), Promotion of Peace/Nonviolence, Anti-Bullying, etc.
-Brief theatrical presentations/performances, skits/play scenes, spoken word, poetry, dance and singing and/or musical performances are welcome if they connect or relate to the themes of nonviolence, The Civil Rights Movement or such related themes or topics.
Additional topics included during your presentation may include conflict resolution techniques & best practices for nonviolence in schools, for our youth & world today and may include relatable and/or remarkable personal stories that might teach or inspire.
