We are a 24/7 inbound answering service providing receptionist related services to other businesses, primarily those related to property management, including service and restoration companies. We act on their behalf and that means we need dependable and caring people on our team so that we can meet our goal of nurturing the relationship between caller and client by providing a caring atmosphere where we process accurate and professional messages.

We are a small business with less than 40 employees based in Eldersburg, MD with an additional office in York, PA. While our VPs maintain those offices, the rest of our team is completely remote working from the comfort of their homes.

We are a good fit for stay at home parents, veterans, gamers, college students, and just about anyone who has a computer, a quiet space to work from, and prefers to avoid the hassle of uniforms, commutes, and retail.

We are seeking 7-9 candidates with varied availability to help us grow throughout 2020. Out of this pool of new hires we will be looking to promote a minimum of 2 to our supervisor team after 6 months to 1 year.

2. VOICE TEST
A voice test allows us to hear how you sound on the phone so be sure to complete this step from a quiet location. If you make any mistakes reading the script, do not start over, pick up from the stumble and continue on. Our goal is to hear your tone, pacing, and enunciation. We strongly suggest reading through the script once to familiarize yourself with it before calling in. Our callers should not be able to hear any children, pets, etc. Additionally, no one outside of the employment of Focus Telecommunications, Inc. should be able to see your monitor or hear your phone conversations while you are connected to our systems.
5. EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS
Our staff is required to have a computer running Windows 8 or better. It must be kept up to date with security patches, active antivirus software (Windows Defender meets this requirement), and the desktop user account must be password/pin protected so that other members of your household cannot access our systems.

We require either dual monitors (both must run at same resolution, min of 1600x900) or an Ultrawide monitor (21:9 ratio, minimum 2560x1080 resolution). Team members must also have a noise-canceling headset compatible with their computer and a backup headset that will connect to a landline or mobile device.

You may use a laptop or desktop but you must have access to a full (standard 104) keyboard with a number pad on it. Our software maps commands to the F1-F12 row and number pad keys. If your keyboard requires the use of a Function (Fn) key to select either of these sections of the keyboard, then it will conflict with our system. 7. AVAILABILITY
This section is about how you would be scheduled post-training. Our goal is to have our schedules published 4 weeks in advance of the current week so that our team can plan ahead. Schedules can and will fluctuate within the agent's given availability based on our call volume trends. We also publish our open shifts for up to two weeks in advance so that our team can pick up any additional hours to reach a max of 40 hours per week worked. The more generous your availability is, the more hours we can provide you with on a regular basis.

Start/End Times
Our standard shifts may begin as early as 6:00 a.m. and end as late as 12:15 a.m. Overnight shifts begin at 11:00 p.m. and end at 7:00 a.m. and require supervisor training. If you are interested in overnight positions, please indicate below in the appropriate location - that is a goal we will work toward with you if requested but will take additional training after being acclimated to standard agent responsibilities.

Weekends
Our team members are required to work 2 of the 3 weekend days (Fri-Sun) and a minimum of 7 hours must be worked between Saturday and Sunday. As of 5pm on Fridays through 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, we pay an additional $1.25 per hour.

Holidays
If your normal scheduled shift would fall on a holiday, then you will be scheduled for it. Time off can be requested or the shift can be traded with or covered by another team member.

Below you will list the earliest start and latest end time that you can be scheduled for each week day. Please include a.m./p.m. indicators or list times in military format.

If you have multiple ranges of hours for each day, you will be able to indicate if you are open to split shifts toward the end of this section (ex: college students may want to work 2 hours before classes and then another 4 hours after classes in the same day).
