The intent of our vendor fairs is to bring together as many vendors as possible and give each an opportunity to not only have a display in an exhibit hall, but also the chance to present their products and/or services via demonstrations in a classroom setting. The classroom breakout sessions at these conferences are reserved exclusively for the vendors participating in the event. These events have been well received by school districts in our regions as the Ohio Improvement Process is continuing to cause schools to focus time, effort and resources on creating action plans that are designed to close the achievement gap for students with disabilities. In addition, IEP teams must possess a basic awareness of assistive technology in order to thoughtfully consider AT during the IEP development process.
The 2015 Ohio AT Vendor Fairs will be sponsored by State Support Regions 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 13, 14, 15, 16, and OCALI (Ohio Center for Autism and Low Incidence). Together, we serve all of the school districts in the northwest, southwest and southeast regions of the state. We will advertise these events directly to all of the districts that we serve. The events will also be advertised across the entire state through Ohio Department of Education networks and to parents within these regions. Participants will consist of special educators, general educators, related service personnel, administrators and parents of the 14 regions. Since this event is being hosted by State Support Teams, registration for participants is being offered at no cost. We are expecting between 100-150 attendees at each event.

Your cost to participate will be $150.00 per event. Non-profit organizations will receive complimentary registration. All vendors will have table display space in the vendor exhibit hall and the opportunity to conduct classroom sessions in smaller breakout rooms that will seat about 20-50 people at each event in which you choose to participate. Electricity and internet connection will also be provided at no additional cost.
Please use the form below to register for these events as well as request classroom sessions. We will make every effort to give you the number of classroom sessions that you request, but we will obviously be limited by time and classroom space. Classroom sessions are intended to give vendors the opportunity to showcase products or services. Your presentations should focus on methods for increased accessibility and/or how communication can lead to closing academic achievement gaps for students with disabilities. Presentations should also focus on increasing functional life skills for students with disabilities. If another person from your company will be involved in one of the fairs due to territory assignments, we ask that just one person complete the information below. Please collaborate on a session title and description so they are consistent amongst locations. If you would like to participate but are unable to attend, we do offer a limited number of virtual sessions. The $150 fee remains the same whether you are attending in person or virtually.
In an effort to streamline the process for your participation, we have made arrangements for you to remit only one check for the total amount. Your vendor participation fee of $150 per event is payable to the Educational Service Center of Lorain County at 1885 Lake Avenue, Elyria, OH 44035. Please complete the registration form below by 1/23/15. An invoice will be sent to you upon registering. Payment is due by 2/20/15.
Due to the need for increased coordination between the State Support Teams this year, we need to be firm on the 1/23/15 deadline.
We look forward to working with you to bring these great opportunities to our regions.
