Manta Network Collator Program

Embarking on the journey of becoming a Collator can be challenging, but at Manta Network, we are excited to introduce the Early Collator Program to support you in this endeavor. By applying and adhering to the setup guidelines, you become eligible to receive nominations from the Manta Network community, providing a boost to your collation activities.

Program Requirements:

To qualify for the Early Collator Program, we have set the following requirements:

  • Collators must maintain a clean record without any slashing incidents.
  • A minimum stash of 400,000 Manta tokens in your accounts is required.
  • Collator nodes must be connected to a dedicated telemetry for enhanced monitoring.
  • Commission rates charged by Collators should not exceed 15%.
  • Each Collator must maintain separate Stash and Controller accounts.
  • A one-week monitoring period ensures stable Collator node operations.
  • Collator stash addresses must have a verified on-chain identity.
  • Timely upgrades are crucial; all nodes must update within 12 or 24 hours based on release priority.
  • Collators must personally operate nodes; third-party or staking provider operations are not permitted.

Additional Consideration: For applicants with less than 400,000 Manta tokens self-staked, individual cases will be assessed based on good intentions. A case for good intentions will be evaluated using the criteria detailed here.

Program Operations: Collators meeting the outlined requirements will receive a rotation of nominations based on their successful operation period. The frequency of nominations corresponds to the Collator's rank in the program. Successful performance leads to upward rank movement. However, if a Collator fails for any reason, such as slashing or failure to upgrade on time, their rank will be halved. Three consecutive halvings or a slashing incident will result in suspension from nominations, requiring a re-application.

These rankings will be made public, contributing to the transparency of the program and assisting Collators in establishing their reputation within the network.

Telemetry Connection: To participate, Collators must connect their validator nodes to a dedicated telemetry for monitoring. Use the following flag for telemetry connection:
