Drift Cycle Volunteer Interest Form
Hello!
First and foremost we want to thank you for wanting to volunteer with us. You have no idea how much of a difference it makes for us AND the community. Second, read the following volunteer option descriptions and think about what might be a good fit for YOU. Lastly, fill out the questions at the bottom:
1. Bike Angels: This volunteer option helps improve the bike availability and security. Bike Angels provide blocks of time during the week they are able to help balance and check on bikes. They have the option to go to an overcrowded station and ride a bike to a station that has less bikes. Bike security can be checked similarly, travel to a station and check to make sure all the bikes are locked properly.
2. Bike Care Assistant: This volunteer will have to be available Monday or Friday mornings @ 7:30a to 10:30a for at least an hour and will help with upkeep and safety checks of the bikes (i.e. tire pressure, ensure the front light is working, etc.)
3. Event Volunteer: This volunteer will assist on days of events/programs. Once an event is scheduled volunteers will be notified to sign-up and given a list of duties while helping. Events consist of tabling at community events, social bike rides, demo for our sponsors, etc. Any help at these events is appreciated.
4. Social media & marketing influencer: This volunteer will create and share Drift Cycle related posts on their personal and Drift social media platforms. Ideally a person would share or create AT LEAST one post a week. This could be a picture, video, or TikTok/Reel or anything of those sorts to help Drift be seen on socials. Volunteers can also assist with reaching out to local businesses, organizations, and groups to provide promotional materials or identify ways that Drift can better serve their needs.
5. Beginning & End of Season Teammate: All volunteers will be asked to join the Drift team to get bikes ready to go out into the field and gather the bikes to put them back into storage. Beginning of the season will begin in early March. Tasks will consist of putting decals on the bike fenders and taking bikes for test rides. End of the season will take place in late September/ early October. Tasks for this will consist of taking down bike stations and gathering the bikes to bring them in for storage.
Once you are done filling out this form we will connect with you and discuss what volunteering for Drift will look like for you!
Thank you for your time & PEDAL POSITIVELY,
The Drift Team
