Nebraska x Design Workshop Application
The Nebraska x Design Workshop is a two-day experiential program that introduces Design Thinking principles in a University environment led by renowned Industrial Design Engineer, Doug Dietz. The program is a Design Thinking short course that introduces tools and methods for facilitating a design thinking workshop. Participants will be given an introduction to Design Thinking and then grouped into teams to utilize their new skills to tackle a real-world clinical challenge. 

The two-day program will be 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday, November 11th and Wednesday, November 12th in Omaha. Participation will be limited to ~24 multidisciplinary faculty and staff from across the four University of Nebraska campuses. 

Admission is based on the strength of the application, including: academic accomplishments, professional interests, an interest in outside-of-the-box thinking, willingness to collaborate interprofessionally across disciplines, and creativity with ideas on how to take these new skills back to home departments, colleges, and campuses. Applications will be reviewed in the order they are received until all spots are filled. Selected participants will be expected to accept or reject the invite within three days of the offer.
