Africa Music Festival Volunteer Application 
Thank you for your interest in volunteering at the Africa Music Festival on the 24th of August in Leicester! Please fill out the following form to apply. We will review your application and schedule an interview via Google Meets. 

General Responsibilities

Setup and Breakdown:

  • Assist with the setup of festival areas including stages, booths, and signage.

  • Help dismantle and clean up after the festival concludes.

Crowd Management:

  • Guide attendees to various areas of the festival.

  • Manage queues and ensure orderly conduct.

Information Desk:

  • Provide information to attendees about the schedule, locations, and activities.

  • Hand out festival maps and brochures.

Vendor Assistance:

  • Support vendors in setting up their stalls.

  • Assist with any immediate needs during the festival.

Activity Coordination:

  • Help with organising and running festival activities and games.

  • Ensure safety and enjoyment for all participants.

Cleanliness:

  • Ensure the festival grounds remain clean by picking up litter and emptying rubbish bins.

  • Help with recycling initiatives.

Safety and Security:

  • Monitor festival areas for any safety hazards.

  • Report any suspicious activities to security personnel.

Expectations

  • Punctuality: Arrive on time for your scheduled shifts.

  • Communication: Stay in contact with your team leader for instructions and updates.

  • Professionalism: Treat all attendees, vendors, and fellow volunteers with respect.

  • Flexibility: Be prepared to assist with various tasks as needed.

  • Dress Code: Wear the designated volunteer t-shirt and comfortable clothing.

Interviews

Interviews will be conducted via Zoom or Google Meet. Once your application has been reviewed and shortlisted, you will receive an email with the interview schedule. This email will contain the following details:

Zoom/Google Meet Link:

  • A unique link will be provided for you to join the interview session at your scheduled time.
