Self Reliance Interest Survey
Prosper Stake is offering several different Self Reliance groups this winter on the ward level, and a few on the stake level. Self Reliance groups are about identifying tools for preparation and abundance in every area of life! The First Presidency has said this is a way provided by the Lord to extend to us spiritual and temporal blessings!

Our stake presidency felt this might be the right time for many of you to participate because the pandemic has provided more time at home, and is giving us insight into areas of needed preparation!  In addition to the familiar four courses in finance, employment, education, and business, we are also offering Emotional Resilience and Marriage Relations... back by popular demand!

Please take the next 1-3 minutes to read the descriptions and mark any groups you would be interested in participating in. Just because you join a group does not mean you have a problem in that area! We have had financial planners and doctors participate in personal finance. We have had bishops and marriage researchers participate in marriage relations. It means you want to prepare for the future and experience more abundance in your life! Or it might mean that you are doing well in this area and want to give back by helping others who could benefit from your perspective. We will share the information from this survey with your ward council, and they will contact you to help you join a group. Self Reliance groups start the 3rd week of February in person or on Zoom. We hope you will join us!

Personal Finances: This 12-week group is for those who want better control over their finances. Group members will learn how to eliminate debt, protect against financial hardship, and invest in the future. They will create a financial plan and follow a budget. Spouses are encouraged to attend together.

Find a Better Job: This 12-week group is for those who are looking for work or a better job. Group members will learn to identify opportunities, network, present themselves professionally, and prepare for job interviews. They will also set goals for contacts and interviews.

Starting and Growing My Business: This 12-week self-reliance group will help you learn to make wise business decisions as you start or grow a business. The goal of this group is not only to help you with your business; it is also to help you act in greater obedience and faith in the Lord and receive His promised blessings of temporal and spiritual self-reliance.

Education for Better Work: This 12-week group is for those who are interested in getting additional education or training. Group members will research, create, and present career and education plans. They will also spend time each week practicing skills that will help them be more effective learners.

Emotional Resilience: This 10-week group will help you learn spiritual and practical skills to better care for your body, mind, emotions, and relationships. As you attend this course, you will work with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ to know how to apply what you learn to your life and the lives of those you love.

Marriage Relations: This 10-week course was developed to help spouses develop and maintain an enriching relationship with each other. It is a course created specifically for the Prosper Stake. Those who complete this course will be eligible to participate in advanced training in a number of areas such as communication, intimacy and sexuality, marriage retreats and couple councils, and more!
