As conditions continue to deteriorate in Sudan and Gaza, it is our duty as workers of the land to stand in solidarity with those experiencing the brunt of colonial violence.
Together, Guelph 4 Palestine and farmers across Turtle Island are launching the Seeds of Solidarity Funding Drive.
As people who work with the land, we know the abundance the earth can provide. We are asking you, as part of a community of food growers, land workers, medicine makers and other food community members, to join us in fundraising towards two vital campaigns to support food sovereignty in the face of genocide:
We Must Plant - A grassroots initiative by the Gezira and Managil Farmers' Alliance and supported by organizations like the Sudan Solidarity Collective and Sudanese Resistance Front. For more info check: @sudaneseresistancefront and @sudansolidaritycollective
Revive Gaza's Farmland - A project by the Arab Group for the Protection of Nature, aiming to rehabilitate Gaza’s agricultural sector and restore local food systems to combat famine and counter the blockade. For more info check: @apnorg
Our goal is simple: to get land workers to register to raise $500-$ 1000 by November 15th 2025. By doing this, we can collectively raise a minimum of $25,000 (and hopefully much more), adding significant support to each initiative
We ask that each person donate 100% of the funds from an item, a workshop or a service. It can be 100% of pumpkin sales, soap sales, a farm tour, a canning workshop or really whatever you can think of! Get creative, and involve your communities!
