Creative Technologist (Founding Product Lead) Role Expression of Interest Form

Status: Future Opportunity — Funding-Dependent
Location: Remote-First (US-based preferred, but not required)
Commitment: Full-Time, Long-Term (plan to be onboard for at least 4 years)
Start Date: TBD — post-funding

We’re a small, ambitious game and tech startup building the future of interactive storytelling, play-based education, and digital tools for human expression. We're seeking creative technologists who thrive at the intersection of code, design, and vision.

About the Role

This is a speculative role designed for someone looking to grow rapidly in their career by co-owning and co-building a full game or technology product. You’ll be the technical and creative lead on a single, focused project, one of three distinct games or an interactive tool in our roadmap. You’ll own development, design, and experimentation alongside the founder, working in close cycles of prototyping, testing, and iteration. This is a high-autonomy, high-accountability position.

We are not hiring for this role immediately. This post is part of a pre-funding talent strategy to identify aligned, future collaborators. Interviews are not guaranteed. If you’re interested in growing with us once we’re funded, we’d love to hear from you.

What You Might Do

Lead design and development of a complete game or interactive experience, from prototype to launch.

Write and ship code (Unity, Web, or custom tools depending on the project.

Lead and/or direct art production. A weaker technical side can be compensated with by a strong creative and visual arts side.

Shape UX, game mechanics, and visual systems with a critical creative eye.

Make smart tradeoffs between scope, polish, and player experience.

Collaborate closely with the founder and future cross-functional teammates

Grow into a larger leadership role or pitch and publish your own project with our support

What We’re Looking For

A creative builder with both technical skill and design sensibility.

Experience shipping your own projects or taking initiative in small teams.

Proficiency in game engines, web tech, or creative coding tools (language flexible).

Comfort with ambiguity, speed, and doing more with less.

A long-term mindset and interest in growing with a startup from the ground up.

Whether your background leans more artistic or more engineering-focused, what matters most is your ability to drive a project from concept to completion.

How to Express Interest

If this sounds exciting (not just for now but for the future) fill out the short form below. We’ll ask for your portfolio, background, and what a comfortable, livable wage would look like for you. There’s no judgment or negotiation yet, just alignment for the road ahead.
