The theme of this year's conference is "Voices of Democracy." We are seeking proposals that incorporate this theme into engaging and thought provoking presentations for educators at all levels. Interpretations of the theme might include:

-What does civil discourse look and sound like in a democratic society?
-How is history examined and shared? How is it heard and understood?
-How have the voices of democracy changed over time?
-What can be done to include and amplify marginalized voices in our society?
-How do the arts and humanities serve as a vehicle for civic engagement?
-How do we inspire our students to take an active role in our democracy?

Proposals are due by May 10, 2019
Presenters will be notified of proposal status (accepted or declined) via email by May 28, 2019.
