Eureka Chinatown Monument Planting Day
On Saturday, June 6, the Humboldt Asian Pacific Islanders in Solidarity (HAPI) invites volunteers to plant small trees, shrubs, and ground cover plants around the Eureka Chinatown Monument (First and E Streets in Eureka). Previous experience with planting is helpful, but not necessary. COMPLETE by FRIDAY, May 29.

Questions may be directed to Mitch Higa at hitchmiga4@icloud.com

VOLUNTEER SPOTS ARE LIMITED.
There will be a 9:00 AM to Noon MORNING shift and a 12:30 to 3:30 PM AFTERNOON shift.
Volunteers can work one or both shifts, but we can only accept ten volunteers per shift.  Refreshments and lunch will be provided. Gloves and tools will be provided.

Whether you volunteer or not, the Moon to Moon Chinatown Tour and a Humboldt Taiko performance will take place on the same day with the tour from 4:00 to 5:00 PM, starting at the nearby “Fowl” mural at Charlie Moon Way (on E Street between 4th and 5th Street behind Coast Central Credit Union). Following the tour enjoy Taiko drumming at the Monument.
