4th Grade Hygiene Presentation

Dear Parent/Guardians:

Your child is about to receive an important lesson on personal hygiene as their bodies are beginning to experience slight changes.

This presentation will be provided on Friday, April 12, 2024 in collaboration with Olmsted County Public Health staff. If you DO NOT want your child to participate, please fill out the google form below.

This lesson will help both boys and girls:
-Understand that personal hygiene is each individual’s responsibility.
-Understand the physical and emotional changes they experience during puberty, and acknowledge these changes as a normal part of growth and development.
-Learn the basic physiology of their bodies and correct terminology for parts of the reproductive system.

More information about hygiene and puberty is also on the Student Health Services Maturation page HERE

As parents, you play an important role in helping your child prepare for the emotional and physical changes that occur during puberty. Let your child know that you are willing to answer questions, discuss concerns, and just talk. Conversations of this nature may not be easy to get started, but establishing communication and trust with your child during these exciting and change-filled years of puberty will be well worth the effort.

Stop Here if you wish for your child to participate, as you do not need to fill out the form.

If you DO NOT wish to have your child participate in the program, please fill out the form below.  Students not participating in the program will asked to read or participate in an alternative activity during this time.
