As a key-holder for the Havelock School pool, it's important to understand that you play a crucial role in maintaining the pool for use outside of school hours. In addition to your individual responsibilities as a key-holder, there is a collective responsibility to ensure that everyone can safely and enjoyably use the facility. Since there is no supervision due to logistical and financial constraints, all key-holders are responsible for reporting any misbehaviour that violates the rules or seems unreasonable, whether it occurs near the pool area or anywhere else on school grounds.

If you witness inappropriate behaviour, please take the following steps:

1. Identify the individuals involved, including key-holders, their family members, or visitors.
2. Make a note of the incident.
3. Contact the Principal - 027 275 6380 (Tracey Wearing) or Board of Trustees - 021 931 767  (Colleen Murray)

If the issue cannot be resolved immediately, please contact the Havelock Police at 574 2011, or preferably, use the emergency number 111. Your cooperation in maintaining a safe and enjoyable environment for all is greatly appreciated.

By obtaining and keeping a copy of the Pool Rules (attached below) and paying $80 (which includes a $20 key bond*) for the seasonal use of the Havelock School Pool, I acknowledge my understanding and acceptance of the terms and conditions outlined in the Pool Rules. I also recognise that, as a key-holder, I am responsible for the behaviour of all my family members and any guests who access the pool area using my key. It is my duty to inform them about the rules.

I agree that any behaviour that violates these rules will be addressed, and it may result in either my family members or myself being prohibited from using the pool complex, along with the potential loss of the key deposit without a refund. Upon the conclusion of the season, I will return the key to receive the $20 key deposit no later than Easter Weekend in 2026.
