Alley Cat Project: Stray & Feral Cat Spay/Neuter Assistance
Thank you for submitting a request for spay/neuter assistance. There are several ways to get in touch with Alley Cat Project. You can complete this form or call and leave us a message and a volunteer will call you back: (206) 745-0243.

Alley Cat Project's mission is to spay and neuter feral cats in Seattle and return them to where they live. We can only assist cats within Seattle city limits. Please refer to the map in FAQs. If you live outside of Seattle, you can submit a form and we can try to provide a referral to a rescue in your area.

The questions on this form cover what our volunteers typically ask during an initial phone call. By completing this form, it helps our volunteers more quickly and efficiently advise you.

We will do our best to respond to all requests within 48-72 hours. If you have an urgent concern, please call or text us at (206) 745-0243.

ABOUT THE CATS
You can identify if the cats have already been spayed/neutered by checking their ears for an ear tip. Below are two examples. ACP can still provide veterinary support for ear tipped cats if you are noticing an injury or illness.
Examples of ear tipped cats:
How many adult cats are there that need to be spayed/neutered? Are any of them ear tipped already?
See photos above for what an ear tipped cat looks like.
How many cats are pregnant?
How many kittens are there?
How old are the kittens?

Please check all that describe these cats:
ACP will do our best to help the cats you've identified and we want to ensure these are not indoor-outdoor cats with an owner. What have you done so far to try and find out if these cats have an owner?
Do you need to borrow humane traps from ACP?
Clear selection
Can you monitor the traps if provided instruction and guidance?
Most trapping occurs during evening hours.
Clear selection
Can you transport the cats to an ACP volunteer's home after they are trapped?
Clear selection
ACP will assess any cats trapped to determine if they are friendly or feral.

If the cat is friendly, we will place into an ACP foster home or transfer to another rescue for adoption.

If the cat is feral, it will be returned to the area it is trapped after it has been spayed/neutered.
