McKenna Ranch Camp Equipment List
PACKING TIP
Use a plastic tub instead of a suitcase!

PRIORITY ITEMS
- Copy of Camper Health Records
- 1 case of bottled water and 4 gallons of water (gallon containers)

CLOTHING / SHOES / ACCESSORIES
- 2 pair of closed toed shoes (sturdy tennis shoes, hiking shoes, cowboy boots)
- Socks and extra socks
- Long sleeve hiking shirt (Columbia style or rash guards work well)
- Pants or jeans for hiking
- Belt (optional)
- Athletic or cargo-style shorts
- Short sleeved shirts
- Undergarments
- Pool shoes (water shoes, flip-flops, sandals)
- Modest Swimsuit
- Wide brim hat
- Sunglasses

CAMPING & BEDDING SUPPLIES
- Lightweight sleeping bag (for use during overnight camp out)
- Pillow
- Twin sheets (for use in cabin)
- Blanket (for use in cabin)
- Camping chair

TOILETRIES
- Laundry bag with name CLEARLY written on it
- Toothbrush
- Toothpaste
- Soap & Shampoo (UNSCENTED - This is VERY important!!)
- Quick drying bath towel
- Quick drying swim towel
- Deodorant (nothing "sweet" smelling)
- Foot powder (optional)

EXTRAS
- Small backpack or waist pack (for hiking)
- Sunscreen (unscented)
- Flashlight (no lasers)
- Bible
- Journal
- Pen or pencil
- Work gloves (for use during woodworking and hiking)
- Pocket Knife (safety will be STRICTLY enforced)
- Bug Repellent
- Bandanna
- Money for Camp Store (we recommend $5.00-$20.00)
- Rain poncho (optional)

CAMPER & CIT MEDICATION
Medication (prescription and over the counter) should be stored in a bag or other container that is CLEARLY marked with the youth's name, dosage, and dosage schedule. Upon arrival to McKenna Ranch, all medication should be given to the Health Officer.

OPTIONAL ITEMS
- Mobile musical instrument (such as a guitar, ukulele, flute, recorder)
- Camera (a smart phone will be allowed to be used as a camera on a case-by-case basis)

ITEMS PROVIDED BY MCKENNA RANCH CAMP
- McKenna Ranch t-shirt
- Reusable water bottle
- Whistle

PROHIBITED ITEMS
- Cell phones (there is NO cell service or wifi available)
- Ear phones / buds (wireless or corded)
- Video game devices
- MP3 players
- Smart watches (an exception can be made for Fitbits or other low profile watches that are not used for social media)
- Outside food is NOT allowed, unless for a medical condition
- Fruity or "sweet" smelling body spray or cologne (This is VERY important.)
