Amateur Radio Technician Class September 18, 2018 at St. Lucy's Church Middletown RI
An Amateur Radio Technician Class will be held at St. Lucy's Church, 909 West Main St, Middletown RI, starting Tuesday September 18 at 5:30 PM.  The class is open to the public.

Discover the fun of being able to communicate with fellow Amateur Radio Operators (Hams) in your local community or worldwide without depending on fragile infrastructure like cell phones or internet.  Add Amateur Radio capabilities to enhance other hobbies like hiking or boating, and be able to communicate in times of emergency.

This is an instructor-led course given in six sessions with a FCC required examination on November 13th.  The class is suitable for middle school through adult learners.  Past experience says that 90%+ of the students that participate in the classes pass the exam.

Fees:  $10 for the Student Manual payable on September 18th, and $15 for the exam fee payable November 13th.

Dates:  Tuesday September 18 5:30 PM to 8 PM for six Tuesdays.  Exam on Tuesday November 13 at 5:30 PM.  No class on October 9 and November 6.

Location:  St. Lucy's Church, 909 West Main St, Middletown RI, 02842. Parking is available in the rear of the church.  Please enter the door at the left of the long enclosed walkway that connects the Church (on the left), to the Parish Hall (on the right).
