Plot Description:When the men of a medieval French court go off to the war, the licentious Count Ory and his followers take the opportunity to impregnate the castle by dressing up as nuns: high jinx ensue in this riotous comedy by Rossini. Featuring solos vocal fireworks and dazzling ensembles, the opera also includes some of Rossini's most colorful orchestral writing. We look forward to presenting this charming and hilarious work in early April 2018 in the beautiful Agassiz Theatre in Radcliffe Yard.
This production will be stage directed by Roxanna Myhrum, music directed by Edward Jones, and produced by Sherry Gao.
