Candidate Application for Incumbents – Burbank Democratic Club

Thank you for seeking the endorsement of the Burbank Democratic Club. Our members are committed to supporting candidates who demonstrate leadership, integrity, and a clear vision for our community. This application is designed to help us understand your background, your strategy for winning, and your approach to governance.

Please complete the following questions thoroughly and honestly. Your responses will be shared with our endorsement committee and may be distributed to voting members prior to interviews. To ensure fairness and allow us to evaluate all candidates equally, please adhere to the following guidelines:

  • Word Limit: Each response is limited to 250 words maximum. Please be concise and direct.

  • Deadline: All applications must be submitted by April 5th at 11:59 PM . Late submissions will not be considered for endorsement.

  • Interviews: After reviewing applications, our committee will conduct virtual interviews with each candidate. Details regarding scheduling and platform will be sent to qualified applicants after the deadline.

  • Judicial Candidates: If you are running for a judicial seat, please note that specific instructions have been provided within the relevant questions.

Eligibility:
Per our Bylaws, the Burbank Democratic Club endorses candidates who will appear on the Burbank voter ballot. This includes:

  • Federal Offices: e.g., United States Congress

  • Statewide Offices: e.g., Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Attorney General, and other statewide constitutional offices

  • State Legislative Offices: e.g., State Assembly, State Senate

  • Local Burbank Offices: e.g., Burbank City Council, Burbank Unified School District Board, Burbank Water and Power Board

  • Judicial Offices: e.g., Superior Court Judge

  • Ballot Measures: Appearing on the Burbank ballot
