Missouri Council of Teachers of Mathematics FAME Grant Application
Up to eight (8) grants are awarded yearly to the following grade levels: PreK-5, 6-8, 9-12, 13-16.

Any PreK-16 educator teaching in a Missouri school (public, private, or parochial) is eligible to apply. Only one grant will be awarded to an individual in a year. An applicant who has received a grant within the last three years will not be considered. Applicant must be an MCTM member in good standing. The grant will be scored out of a maximum of 16 points.

Applications are due on or before March 15. Grants will be evaluated and recipients notified the first week of June. All submissions will receive a reply.

Statement of Purpose – In 100 words or less, describe the overall intent of the project in terms of, but not limited to, improvement of skills, enrichment, and/or the development of concepts on the part of students with an overall intent to implement the NCTM Principles and Standards (3 points maximum). *

If you are requesting materials, prepare a detailed listing of activities and/or topics to be addressed either in the classroom or in extra curricular projects. Budget –The maximum amount of the grant is $1250. A detailed list of expenses, which may include supplementary texts, manipulatives, software, shipping or other supplies, must be provided with the application. No funds are allowed for refreshments, substitute teachers, speaking honoraria, or secretarial help. All applicants must file a financial report at the end of their grant or by July 1 of the current year (4 points maximum). *

Evaluation – Grant recipients must choose one of the following options to show how this project successfully impacted student learning within one year of completion of the grant (you will no longer be eligible to apply for future Fame Grants if you fail to perform one of these choices). *
