Amazon Web Services: Immersion Day - Monroe ISD, May 25th, 2017
Whether in Teaching and Learning or Central IT, this free event is an opportunity to understand what the AWS Cloud offers to address the requirements of the K-12 Education community. This event is designed to help you understand how the AWS Infrastructure and Operational practices can help you meet your strategic IT challenges.

In the afternoon, we will break into two more focused tracks, where you can learn more about IT operations and services or choose the Research track where you will be working hands-on to open an AWS account and start using the AWS console with public data sets. In both cases you will have the opportunity to delve deeper into technical questions with the AWS Cloud experts.

Learn about best practices for deploying applications on AWS, optimizing performance, monitoring cloud resources, driving efficiencies, reducing costs, and more. Whether it's big data, high performance computing (HPC), machine learning, or analyzing live data, you will also have opportunities to meet AWS staff to have your technical and security questions answered.

The event begins at 8am and concludes at 4:30pm. Breakfast refreshments and lunch will be provided.
