The beautiful Naragonia from Belgium will be returning to Sheffield for a wonderful dance experience on Sunday 16th September 2018. They play with lyrical style and intimacy on melodeons, bagpipe, saxophone, fiddle, and whistles -

3 pm Come early if you'd like to help decorate or to play us some music whilst we beautify the venue.

4:00 pm - 5:30 pm Music workshops:
There are two options:
Melodeon workshop - for players familiar with the instrument, or
Ensemble workshop - to play with all different instrument types.

6-7 pm Food available
Hearty soup, rustic bread, and a baked cake will be provided at the venue by Taal and can be booked below. Alternative approaches are to bring your own or check out the options locally available in Crookes.

7 pm - 7:45 pm Dance workshop
A quick introduction to a few bal dances to give newcomers a welcome to the genres. No partner necessary, slippery shoes best.

8 pm - 11 pm Bal
Enjoy dancing to Naragonia's lovely music. They play their own compositions in traditional patterns, with entrancing, passionate and exciting energies -

We keep our event prices because we want to make events accessible to all. We do apply for relevant funding but if you feel you have a good income or can afford a more normal ticket price, please pop some extra in the donations box that will be on the front desk (suggested donation £5). Booking for workshops and bal:
Payment is on the door, and if you wish to participate in more than one part of the day (e.g. workshop plus bal) you'll be able to opt for a bargain reduced price with a reduction of £3 applied to your total.
Booking for food:
All options include a hearty soup with bread, followed by a dessert cake, at a combined price of £6, with payment on the door. Please let us know your dietary preferences below. NB. Food bookings will close a week before the event, or if we reach capacity sooner.
