    The Bay Jiu-Jitsu vision is to offer accessible and world-class training to people of all ages, sizes, genders, and backgrounds in the multiple athletic programs offered. We serve not only athletes, but anybody looking to learn new skills, get in shape, have fun, and join our community. We train athletes in our three gym locations in the SF bay area: Mission SF, Japantown SF, and Berkeley.

    Job Function

    The Athlete Success Manager will be responsible for ensuring that Bay Jiu-Jitsu athletes are successfully attending classes and are evangelists for the Bay Jiu-Jitsu Academy. Your focus will be to take over existing student relationships, onboard new students and help build the operational infrastructure and process for the entire Athlete Success Program. You will collaborate with the Business Owner, Director of Operations, and athletic coaches to ensure there is a flow of information that ensures we are delivering the best service to our students. You will have experience working in a fast paced, start-up environment and thrive on the opportunity to determine how the Athlete Success Program is built and operationalized. You will be used to hitting metrics and working in a collaborative way with supporting functions.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    -Help create pipeline for discovering new athletes -Follow up with potential athletes to increase membership conversion -Manage athlete membership recurring payments -Manage entire athlete relationship from onboarding, through class signups, to membership renewals -Build trusted relationships with athletes and athletic coaches -Advocate for new business initiatives as the voice of the athlete -Handle day to day requests and athlete issues thoughtfully and quickly, soliciting feedback -Build scalable resources and best practices to better teach and service athletes -Responsible for key athlete success metrics, including membership churn, membership growth, and renewals -Come up with creative approaches to satisfy data/analyses needs

    -Quick to respond to emails -Good writer -Outstanding communication skills -Highly organized and detail oriented -Experience working on diverse teams -Entrepreneurial with a get-it-done attitude -A natural at building relationships with business clients and partners -Quantitative by nature and obsessed with process improvement -Experience working cross-functionally -Strong initiative & proactive, executes above and beyond without much oversight -Skilled with general computer programs (Google Docs, Google Spreadsheets, Email, etc)
