Admission Professional of the Year - Honors college/university admission professionals who exemplify excellence and dedication to serving the needs of students in the transition from high school to college. Open to WACAC and non-WACAC members.
Support Staff of the Year - Honors high school counseling or college admission support and/or operations staff who exemplify excellence and dedication to serving the needs of students as they transition from high school to college.
WACAC Rising Star - Honors individuals and programs that exemplify excellence and dedication to serving the needs of students in the transition from high school to college. Nominated individuals must be a WACAC member who has been in the profession for no more than five years. Programs must be new programs within the last five years that use nontraditional approaches to traditional challenges. Programs must be practical and replicable by other members of the association. (Please provide a detailed description of the individual/program and its goals. Provide extensive supporting evidence of effectiveness and contributions to students, counseling professionals, and/or WACAC.)
NACAC Rising Star - Honor rising leaders of fewer than five years’ experience that contribute significantly to the health of the affiliate, and young, untraditional, effective programs within affiliates that can be replicated by other affiliates. Nominees must be members of both WACAC and NACAC. Candidates for the national award are evaluated on the basis of their impact on the association/membership, production of measurable outcomes, and demonstration of innovation and initiative.
