Welcome! You are invited to enter the 2018 Women in the Arts Competition "CELEBRATING THE GENIUS OF WOMEN" at the Orlando Public Library.

The competition is open to professional women artists in the visual arts, ages 18 and above. Non-local and international artists are invited to enter.

Media and Theme
Drawing, painting, mixed media, photography, digital art, new media art, installations, jewelry, and sculpture.
Theme key-words: Women, dignity, courage, joy, service, faith, suffering, healing, hope, inspire.

Fees
No entry fees.

Selection
The jury selects artwork from the artist website to be digitally displayed at the Orlando Public Library gallery and social media site during the months of March and April 2018 at "CELEBRATING THE GENIUS OF WOMEN" on-site exhibition and competition. The jury decision is final with no reviews or feedback. Results are published February 13 at 11:00 AM at www.womeninthearts.org

Restrictions
Previous winners, past or present staff, board, and volunteers of Women in the Arts, and OCLS staff do not enter the competition but are invited to vote on the final round and participate at the "Celebrating the Genius of Women" events.

Awards
Award certificate from Women in the Arts.
Online exhibition of winning art at the Orlando Public Library gallery and social media March 10-April 24.
Invitation to attend the Women in the Arts Awards event, March 24.
Public recognition at the Women in the Arts Awards event.
Publicity on digital, printed and/or online media outlets.
No cash awards.

Jan. 24 at 11:00 AM. Entry deadline. No exceptions.
Feb. 13 at 11:00 AM. Finalists announced at www.womeninthearts.org
Mar. 2-9. Finalist art install.
Mar. 10-19 Public vote period, social media vote, and Jury Team final voting for local artists.
Mar 10-Apr 24 Finalists' Art Exhibition.
Mar. 24. 2:00-4:00 PM. Women in the Arts Awards. Meet the artists, exhibition tour, awards, and reception.
Mar. 24-Apr. 24. Winner's art display
Apr. 25-30. Art return.

This art competition is done in partnership with the Orlando Public Library. Sponsored by Women in the Arts, and Studio-T Photography.
