I agree to uphold the standards established by Team Paradox as a robotics team member and to  demonstrate gracious professionalism.

SHOP SAFETY POLICY

I agree that you will only operate the lathe, mill, all CNC machines, welding equipment, torches, vertical band saw, pedestal grinder, and tube notcher if you have passed the SDA’s Metals 1 or Welding class and have been signed off on those machines listed above by a teacher; and to agree to be use lathes and manual mills only under the supervision of a teacher or district cleared certified machinist mentors. Failure to comply will result in suspension or expulsion from the team.

GRADE POLICY

Robotics follows similar eligibility rules to sports at SDA. To participate in Robotics, students must remain in good academic standing and maintain a non-weighted GPA of 2.0 or above, with no more than one failing grade if taking 4 classes, and no fails if taking 3 classes. 

Any student receiving a D or F on a report card must engage in a “Monday Grades Check-in” with the Robotics coach until the next report card.

Students who were deemed ineligible may resume or cease participation based on their current Aeries grades at any “Monday Grades Check-in”.

Students who miss eligibility requirements on two consecutive report cards will remain ineligible until the next report card.

Grades checked every 5 weeks based on report cards.

Students may use a 1-time eligibility waiver in high school
