SALT Class Registration - Huntington Beach
Thank you for your interest in our SALT class-Surfers Awareness in Lifesaving Techniques! The program is provided free of charge to interested individuals and is taught by current Huntington Beach Lifeguards. The awareness training is focused on hazard and victim recognition, what to do in an emergency situation, and the skills required for a response that can help save a life.

Participants must register so we can have enough volunteers for the session!

Please fill out the form below to sign up for the course. We will ask some basic information about who is taking the course, your surf experience and knowledge on lifesaving techniques. After the course, we may send you a post-course survey to see how it went and how we can improve.

For the course, it is approximately 2 hours long and we spend the first hour teaching through the skills through a presentation. The second hour is spent in the water practicing the skills with lifeguard instructors. For the in-water portion please bring your board and wetsuit if you plan to participate.
