Bib & Tucker Sew-Op QUARK Internship 2019
Bib & Tucker Sew-Op is Birmingham’s hub for sewing activities that promote empowerment, engagement, and economic opportunity. Our mission is to cultivate skills for those who sew or want to sew (ages 9-99) where everyone can be both a teacher and a student. Bib & Tucker Sew-Op has developed a line of products that teaches the fundamentals of math through the principles of art. Our QUARK (Quilting Activity Resource Kit) is a hand-sewing kit that focuses on core curriculum math standards as outlined by the Alabama Department of Education and located on the Alabama Learning Exchange website.

In June 2017 and 2018 QUARK was tested among nearly 300 Birmingham-area summer camp students ranging in ages from 6 to 16.
