For Youth ages 8 - 19.
Join the West Island Black Community Association's Robotics Club that will inspire Black students between ages 9 and 19 to explore science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM), ventures, and projects.
The Robotics Club will prepare its students to become innovative leaders who will develop critical thinking, problem-solving, interpersonal, teamwork, and leadership skills.
Our students will learn how to build robots, compete in tournaments, learn computer programming, and use various software. In addition, they will have opportunities to explore art initiatives through website design, 3D printing, and much more.
Program activities:
Build and compete with robots of their design
Compete in tournaments
Learn and use sophisticated software and hardware
Learn how to use basic tools, drill holes, etc
Design and build models, website, banner, and t-shirts
