AAAD Accomplice Network Nomination Form
The AAAD Accomplice Network will identify key partners across academic and student affairs who can advocate for students and support mentorship needs, two responsibilities that disproportionately fall on AAAD faculty, especially AAAD faculty of color. The network will identify 1-2 key advocates in each department and additional faculty and staff in an extended network. These faculty and staff will be called upon to support students in navigating the various offices and academic departments that shape our students’ experiences, as well as to help to mentor students struggling with their own place in challenging racial inequality.

I agree with the Expectations of Accomplice Network Members for the next year:  A one-year commitment, to be renewed each year.  Demonstrated investment of time, care, and understanding when entrusted with the responsibility to guide a student.   Commitment to “doing one’s own work,” (particularly important for those who identify as white.)   Communication with students with whom a person has been entrusted to support.  Supporting and showing up to some AAAD students’ events. Prioritizing once a semester AAAD Accomplice Network event to connect with other support network faculty and students.  Promoting AAAD minor to your department or to students who participate in your office.   *
