About The Center SF

We're a community hub dedicated to personal, spiritual, and social transformation.

The Center SF is predominantly an event space and yoga studio. We curate classes and events intended to inspire, transform, and support the growth of our community, and we aim to be a third space for people seeking deep connection.

The Center comprises our physical space and our extended community, both of which are products of love, learning, and volunteer contributions. We are looking not just for volunteers, but for those desiring to be long-term community members in our sacred space. We ask for at least a two-month commitment from our volunteers; one-off volunteer opportunities are not available.

Volunteer in our teahouse:
Volunteers are the heart and soul of our tea bar, which currently follows a self-serve model for those who purchase a tea pass or attend an event or a yoga class. Teahouse volunteers facilitate the sale of tea passes and other retail items. They keep the bar clean and customer-ready and cultivate the vibe of our whole space by caring for all components of the teahouse.

We ask tea bar volunteers (or "TJs," which stands for "tea jockeys") to commit to one three and a half-hour shift every week or every two weeks if volunteering on weekend.

We are currently prioritizing regular shift elections, particularly looking for folks who can sign up for two weekend shifts per month. Weekend elections are Friday nights starting at 7pm, Saturdays and Sundays at 12pm, 3pm, 7-10pm :)

Perks of Volunteering:
Being an active participant in our community has perks!  As you pour your energy into our teacups, we would like to refill yours. 

Unlimited yoga, access to the space, event volunteer privileges, and free tea are offered for those who sign up for weekly shift elections.

These perks are provided in appreciation of your dedicated service. :)
