You're just steps away from starting your educational career by attending a Gecko Gear Up, one of the most important steps in your educational journey here at GateWay Community College.

Before you register for a Gecko Gearing Up pre-enrollment session, the following items must be completed:
1. Be fully admitted to GateWay Community College

2. Take Placement exam or submit your official/unofficial transcripts to Gateway
3. Have a method of payment in place prior to attending
4. Register for Gecko Gearing Up at least 7 days before the session.

GateWay Community College is now offering our Gecko Gearing Up sessions both on campus (Washington Campus) in-person and online virtual live-hosted experience for our new Geckos. Please select the modality of session that best accommodates your student needs.

In Gecko Gearing Up, you will learn the tools you need to be successful in your future academic and career path. You will learn how to navigate Canvas, access your student email, understand Fields of Interest, and be introduced to the different types of resources and services available to you.

After you have completed a Gecko Gearing Up pre-enrollment session, your Academic Advisor will schedule a virtual meeting with you to learn about your field of interest and create your class schedule for the upcoming semester.
