ABSW at VCU Presents: 2nd Annual Cultural Awareness Day
The Association of Black Social Workers at VCU will be hosting the 2nd Annual Cultural Awareness Day on Saturday, April 22, 2017. Cultural Awareness Day seeks to build multicultural awareness and skills for working with diverse populations. We invite current students, faculty, and alumni to attend workshops that will educate about cultural competence. Cheryl S. Al-Mateen, MD, professor of psychiatry and pediatrics, will provide the keynote address. Breakfast and lunch will be provided. This event is open to students from all helping professions who want to learn how to conduct effective cross-cultural work.
