WASHINGTON SQUARE CHESS EXHIBITION

Saturday, October 21, 2023, 12pm-4pm
Washington Square Park Chess Plaza

The Exhibition is a two-part event and we will need a variety of help including with set up (like wiping down tables and putting up signage on tables and benches), during the event (like ushering players upon their arrival and later from the Lecture to the Simul, game monitoring, and distributing and collecting chess pieces) and with event breakdown (like removal of signage and packing up chess pieces).

We will need volunteers beginning at 10:30am and up until 5:00pm. Please indicate your availability and we will be in touch with more details.

SCHEDULE
10:30am Volunteers arrive, do walk through, and begin setup; registration begins
12:00pm International Master Lecture (Southwest pathway from Chess Plaza to West middle entrance)
1:00pm Chess Simultaneous Exhibition (Chess Plaza -Southwest corner of the Park)
4:00pm Event Ends (volunteers begin event breakdown)
4:45pm Off-Site
