Yellowhead Student Circles
Join us at our monthly student circle! Facilitated by members of the Yellowhead team, including Hayden King, Shiri Pasternak, Damien Lee and Julie Tomiak, we aim to offer advice, support and mentorship while discussing issues related to Indigenous politics, policy and education that are significant to students. Lunch will be provided.
The Yellowhead Institute generates critical research and strategic analysis on policy and law,
supporting the restoration of First Nation jurisdiction over governance, lands and resources.
The Institute is a First Nation-led research centre based in the Faculty of Arts at Ryerson
University. Privileging First Nation philosophy and rooted in community networks, the
Yellowhead Institute offers critical and accessible resources for communities in their pursuit of
self-determination. It also aims to foster education and dialogue on First Nation governance
across fields of study, between the University and the wider community, and among Indigenous
peoples and Canadians.
