Description
Austin Petersen is a homegrown Missourian with a lifelong passion for liberty. After developing a career in media in both New York City and Washington, D.C., he returned to Kansas City, MO, the city he now calls home. In 2016, Petersen appeared on the national stage as a candidate for president of the United States. Petersen believes that Missourians deserve a government that faithfully represents them, not one that favors lobbyists and special interests. He is running to give Missourians the kind of government that is worthy of them.

The Internship Program will provide students and recent graduates with a hands-on learning experience. Each intern will participate in the political process and earn valuable hands-on experience. In addition to experience, those who complete the required hours will receive a letter of recommendation from Campaign Manager Jeffrey Carson. You may also earn school credit*.

*If you are receiving internship credit from your school for participating in the internship program, please attach your school’s requirements and other pertinent information.

Responsibilities
Recruiting and scheduling volunteers, collecting petition signatures, contacting and coordinating with candidates and the Republican party, aiding in writing and analyzing reports, general office management and data analysis.

15+ hours per week. Dates flexible depending on College.
