IL K-12 CS Education Success Stories
One of the most fulfilling parts of our grassroots work at CS4IL is being able to publicly recognize and honor the "success stories" of what is going well in bringing all K-12 students to computer science in a local school, a local district, or even across a local community. 

We invite you to submit your own local success story here, in the form below.

What is an example of a "success story"? Anything that ignites the spirit of innovation, inclusion, and inspiration into the day-to-day K-12 learning experience. 

Just a few examples: 

A few innovative teachers in a middle school district bringing computer science to students and the community through a hack-a-thon centered on computing for good. 

A sustained commitment made in a K-5 school to infuse computer science into the curriculum and to keep it there, and the results are starting to show.

A partnership between a high school district and another organization that ignites newfound passion in computing amongst students through a new or novel apprenticeship program. 

A new teacher professional development event in a rural Illinois location that draws teachers from around the region, which in turn directly impacts the classroom experience of and opening new doors for thousands of students.

A programming, capture-the-flag, or e-sports competition hosted by a school district, nonprofit, or a college/university that draws a significant community turnout and creates lifelong memories and new career aspirations for students.

With as many school districts and private schools as Illinois has, across as geographically large of a state as Illinois is, serving hundreds of thousands of K-12 students every school year, we know such stories are out there and deserve to be highlighted.

All success stories submitted here will be reviewed and considered for publication in a featured spot on our website. If your story is selected for publication on our website, one of us will contact you directly as soon as possible. Please understand that due to the number of stories we periodically receive, we may need a week or more to respond back, but one of us will reach out as soon as possible.

Finally, please be aware that in preserving the spirit of highlighting local "success stories", we will not be able to respond to any submissions made that are either incomplete, focus on achievements made outside Illinois, or are solicitations in any form for marketing.
