The Dobyns-Bennett High School faculty and staff are excited to welcome all Rising 9th Grade students to Dobyns-Bennett! We are pleased to announce we have modified the Freshman Orientation process to improve the experience and better acclimate students to high school.
Students will learn about Dobyns-Bennett through building tours, discuss the importance of getting to know your school counselors and schedule assistance, tips and tricks for success and a spotlight on CTE, STEM, and the many extracurricular opportunities at Dobyns-Bennett.
Freshman Orientation will be held one half day, either 8:00-11:00 a.m. or 12:00pm. - 3:00 p.m., in the months of June and July. Students should report to the STEM building (glass building).
There will be no transportation or lunch provided during these sessions. Students who attend will receive a a Class of 2030 t-shirt that will be given out on the first few weeks of school.
We would like all Rising 9th Grade students to attend. Take note, orientation is for students only. Parents/Guardians will drop off and pick up their student in front of the STEM (glass) building.
Please note: You will drop your student off for orientation to the left of the STEM/Glass Bldg (front of the school) and pick them up there as well. More information will be sent out closer to orientation times.
