WSA Committee on Campus Sexual Assault Prevention and Education Sign Up
The Washington Student Association is convening student leaders on our campuses who are working on changing the rape culture that exists within our campuses and in our larger communities. This committee will be focusing on reforming on campus sexual assault policies which impact so many of our students, educating our students on the importance of affirmative consent, and seek to inform students on best practices in being an active bystander. Several state legislators have expressed interest in passing an affirmative consent law here in Washington and mandating that our k-12 education system educate students about consent and healthy relationships. We have more legislation coming through Olympia this next session and need more students to give input on our legislative work and bring this issue back to campus. Sign up here to receive more updates and information on meetings happening next month!
