The MORE-EST Wave and Wind Platform, available at http://www.morenergylab.polito.it/more-est-platform/, is an open-access web-based tool developed by the Marine Offshore Renewable Energy Lab of Politecnico di Torino, in collaboration with the EST group. The platform is able to provide metocean information in arbitrary locations of all European seas, including maritime spatial planning constraints and preliminary technology considerations. Further developments are on the way. 

The purpose of this survey is to probe users’ current practices and need for new tools and services.
